Shepherd’s Flock Child
Development is a Christian Child Development Center with the
goal to help children reach their full physical, spiritual,
educational and developmental potential. Our teachers commit
to love and nurture each child so they may know the abundant
life that God intends for all of us.
Children learn positive
self-image and experience personal success in social and
cognitive learning situations. Children participate in
intergenerational activities with the elder residents of Good
Shepherd’s community creating a bridge between our past and
our future.
This program is licensed
for 100 children with the Nebraska Department of Health and
Human Services Child Care Center Licensing and Regulations.
Shepherd’s Flock does accept Title-20 Children, as well as
Respite Care.
Respite Care:
Respite Care is temporary care of an aged adult or child
with disabilities to relieve the usual caregiver from
continuous support and care responsibilities. Components of
respite care service are supervision, tasks related to the
individual’s physical needs, tasks related to the individual’s
psychological needs, and social/recreational activities.
Respite care may not be
used to allow the usual caregiver to accept or maintain
employment or pursue a course of study designed to fit him/her
for paid employment or professional advancement.
Child
Care for Children with Disabilities:
Child care for
children with disabilities (CCDC) is child care provided to
children from birth through age 18 on the average of less than
12 hours per day, but more than 2 hours per week on a regular
basis, in lieu of caregiver supervision. Care is provided in a
child’s home by an approved provider or in a setting approved
or licensed by the Department of Health and Human Services.
